Will the fenders scrape riding the Tail of the Dragon? Just wondering since they are so low to the ground. I'm leaving in the morning.

You should have no problem scraping anything but pegs. There is no way you will scrape the fenders, the bottom of the chrome covers on the exhaust will scrape before the fenders. I know this from experience (DUH)
I was riding 2-up and very aggressive when I scraped my exhausts on the Snake. If I had known it was the exhaust covers scrapping I would have backed off. I thought it was just the pegs. I had worn them down already and was planning on changing them anyway. If your running alone then give it all you got, my tires never lost traction even when I had it over far enough to scrape the exhaust covers.
Go for it

Let us know how the Rune handles on the Dragon!! I am so jealous. I was going to go down with my CBR this week but it got delayed until Oct 21st. You'll have a blast, and don't worry about rubbing anything on the rune. Be careful down there I stuffed my last CBR in a corner and screwed up my knee. Go slow and enjoy the ride!!!!

Thanks Skibum. I have Rivco pipes on it. I wonder I they would scrape. They slant upward.
How about a picture? I've had mine for some time now. What about you? Do you like em alot? Nice that there is less clean up.... Do ya like the sound better etc etc? Did you instal them yourself too? Took me 2 hours. A friend of mine has had his for 1 year now and they still sit in the box. I wonder if he awaits a recall. NOT! Enjoy and welcome to the Rivco club! dog

I like them. I just bought the Rune 6 weeks ago and it had the pipes. I don't remember what stock pipes sound like, but I love the sound of these. People that hear them think it's a revved up old chevy or something like.
I don't know how to post pictures. Someday I'd like to learn. It looks the same as your bike though.

What is your friend going to do with his pipes? Think he would be open to selling them?
By the way do you need a pc 3 or fuel manager and did you remap it?

I never got to ride Deal's Gap on the Rune. It rained a lot in the area but we rode several other roads up there with curves. It was a blast. Best bike I've ever ridden!
