Anyone running the Smuggler and are you happy/satisfied with it??? Looking at it for carrying small items...as its cargo capacity is limited....but for $3,000 I may just do a backpack.....or T Bag if needed....
Also who's got the Corbin fairing.....it looks great...only fairing I feel ADS to the dramatic look of the bike.....

Thanks,
Chris

I have the corbin. Its been on the bike for 2.5 years. I love it.

The first thing you do throw away corbin front mount allen head screws and get some phillips. Makes it much easier to install.

The second thing you do is go online and get some ram-mounts. They are used for GPS and talkabouts and cameras. Buy 2 of their chrome mounts with rubber balls. You put one on each side of the handle bars. Run the corbin down until it contacts the balls. Raise it up about 1/2 inch. Rotate the balls up to give clearance from bars and tighten them up. Add a 2 x 2 piece of fuzy side velcro to the corbin where it contacts the balls. If you dont do this it will RATTLE AND MAKE YOU CRAZY. I RUN MINE EITHER FULL UP OR FULL DOWN. NEVER IN BETWEEN. With it full up on the freeway the wind goes right over your head. Even down it keeps it off your body.

I saw a smuggler on a new 05 at a dealer this last weekend.

My opinion is it is almost useless as a trunk. Enough room for raingear ( if it was extremely thin and rolled very tight ), a pair of gloves, or a magazine. That is really about it.

It also did not appeal to me much in looks. Changes the back end alot.

The dealer said they had 6 hours of labor getting it on and were not interested in taking it off.

I said no thanks.

The smuggler is a small glove box that attathes to the back of the seat backrest. If you are looking at the $3k unit its a Bugatti Fender with some storage space.

I have the smuggler and like it, it will hold glasses, phone and a windbreaker and ball cap.

According to Corbin's site, they call the fender thingy the smuggler.

Here is the link to Corbin where they describe the Bugatti fender: http://www.corbin.com/honda/hrunetail.shtml They also refer to it as the Smuggler in the description.

I checked my receipt from Corbin and the "Glove Box" they sold me is listed as the Smuggler. It looks like they have changed their terminology.

sorry for the confusion.

Huh. Maybe I should call our bags the Smugglers too, just to confuse Corbin.
