put deposit on 05 cbc, rear bars today. I had to drive 80 miles out from downtown Portland to find a dealer who would match the ohio dealer on cycle trader.
(actually he beat it by $10). 8)

I started with the ohio dealers 20,110 for bike (not license, was extra 100 for title and ohio trip permit)

I emailed every dealer within 150 miles and said can you beat this??

One guy said yea he could.

SO today I signed for a new 05. YEAAAAAAAHAAAAWWW. :D :D

This deal was the least painful vehicle purchase I have ever done, we emailed for a day, he gave me final numbers, and everything was what he said when I drove down there. He says his dealer rep says he can get the rune in a week, but Mike always adds 3 days to what ever the dealer reps says, so he expects to get my rune in 10 days.

He offered me a good deal on the new 04 cbc, forward, spec 47 he had on the floor (asked 18 but said his boss would probably take 17.5) but I really wanted chrome, rear set so I now have to wait 10 days or more

Well its just that the rains haven't started and we can still get some riding it. :lol: But with my luck as soon as my bike is in, the weather will change, and I don't want to scrub in new tires in the rain. :(

Oh, and yea, we're Oregon, we don't have anything in our water, not even flouride. (got to protect those precious bodyly fluids) :P :P

(and I grew up partly in Haverford PA, so I don't miss those winters, that traffic, or the summer heat :P :P :P ) (ok I do miss Lobstering in Maine)

Congrats! I got mine pretty quick since it came from Jacksonville. I had another bike to ride but I have to tell you when I go back to the other bikes now they just don't compare. This is the best bike I have ever been on.

I hope that makes the wait a little easier! :lol: :lol:

I got it from Fred's Honda in Corvallis, OR, internet sales guy is Mike Laux,

I also got an email today from Salem Honda, Ducati, BMW, telling me that if I called them, they would beat the 20,210 price.
(I emailed back, whoops, already bought one) But try calling them.

(I emailed every dealer w/i 150 miles over the weekend, most said, not interested)
