I have just ordered today an 05 Rune from Mason City Honda IOWA for $20,000 plus $675 shipping to SW Florida. Be sure to talk to Curt, plus Ben in finance for Kawasaki cheap finance. He also said he has 04s with spec 47 wheels at $17495, add chrome $2200 add 05 $600.

Any other Rune riders in SW Florida?

:D

Is it east somewhere, I guess it is just the melting pot of all cultures, where I live its also where the newly weds & nearly deads come too, not at all like my homeland in the UK, seems like you guys up north have a better time despite the weather.

that should stir the hornets nest a bit!!!!!!!! Prove me wrong.

Mason City number is 641 422 0000

My condolences
Be careful when you cross those swamplands to the east side.
I've heard of a Swamp daddy lurking around Jupiter

To be delivered tomorrow, mine cost $19K OTD. Bought locally in SE Florida.

You obviously had more luck than I did trying to talk to my local dealers! Is that an 05 or a chromed wheeled 04 at that price?

The dealer I used in tampa did it for under $21000 for and 05 with chrome wheels, plus tax.

No, chromed '05, which is standard I think.

my dealer said that all the 05s were EB desiginations. (E-chrome, B-rear set).
I am sure that all 05s are chrome, hence the single MSRP on honda's website

19k is a great price for an 05 chrome, which dealer in SE Florida offered you that price OTD presumably means plus tax?

The dealer is Motorsports of Delray. Call Jim, the sales manager at 561-997-6400. Perhaps the deal was made better by the fact that I also bought an ST1300 but I'll let him tell you that. My deal as described included ALL costs, including delivery to my home 60 miles away.
I took my first ride a few hours ago after trading a Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 LTD and what an incredible difference! Because I've owned a few Goldwings I am somewhat used to the sound of that sweet 6 and it makes the Kaw sound like something Fred Flintstone would be driving (no offense intended for all you V-Twin lovers)!
It is an awesome pair of motorcycles and I couldn't be happier. Now I just need to keep dodging the blue hairs here in South Florida.

That is a great deal, very well done, on that note I suggest anyone south of the great lakes call Jim at Delray & any one north call Curt at Wisons Motorsports as it seems that most of the other dealers dont know how to sell a Rune even when its handed to them on a plate by American Honda with the extra added incentives available. It sure is true that 20% of the network does 80% of the business.

Pity the poor guys that paid top dollar for their Runes in the early days, I think the prices of used Runes may fall worse than the real estate in my area (and a lot of other areas) over the next few months till the backlog is sold.

Aww! we don't care!!
We've been ridin' them all this time and enjoyin' every miniute.
Even if I DO have the lowest miles per year on this board I love this bike and just owning it for the past three years has been my reward!!
Heck! with all this talk of NEW bikes, I might just buy another, if I could only figure where I'd store it, away form Dog that's for sure!!

I'd love to except mine is in pieces I tore it down in July for paint work and more chrome, I should be recieving the chromed goodies tomorrow, just in time to pull off the brake calipers and send them out too
I pass Wankers on the way home every day, if it doesn't rain scoot over and well swap stories.

I currently own an 05 VTX 1300c which I have thoroughly enjoyed riding. Unexpectedly came into a few $ and was thinking seriously about trading up to a V-Rod which I came this close to buying until I heard heard about the Rune price reductions. Needless to say I bought an 04 Rune instead, spec 47 for $17,200 out of Southaven, Ms ($17,498 OTD). It's way more bike for the money and better looking too (IMHO). It will be shipped from MS to PA in the next week or two for an additional $570. I'll definitely be cold weather riding this year. My son, lucky stiff that he is gets the VTX.

570.00 dollars and maybe it would cost 140.00 gas to ride it home. Whats up with that? Now with a real bike just watch people watch you! You won't believe you owned a 1300. Enjoy every ride. dog

I definitely considered riding it home but couldn't take the time off from work. I'll be out on that baby every chance I get this winter though.

well, if you do ride it home you may consider mount a 50 cal machine gun on the handle bars as a solution to your deer avoidance system..

I owned a new Vrod and you can't compare the two bikes. The Rune is truly a pleasure to own and drive. Good choice!!! BigV

Tampa Rune

I live in Tampa and have yet to run into another one here, but I hear they are out there. Was just over at Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach and saw 2 Runes there out of 150,000 bikes. I like the fact these bikes are scarce.
