How Tall is the Rune? to its highest point? I've only found specs online for a 69.3 inch wheelbase and 100.7 inch length...but no height....I'm looking at renting a closed box UHaul trailer to transport.....looks like their motorcycle trailer has afew issues: (1) 950# max and the '05 Rune is 811# dry.....pushing it. (2) the trailer lentgh is 7'8" long....maybe too short....and its open....thus the box trailer...saw a post here that someone rented the 5X8 closed and his Rune BARELY fit he said....so I'm looking at the 5X10.....its also a tandem......however I was concerned at what they mention as a 4' door height.....
Any experience with any of these would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
For twenty five dollars less from the trailer rental price I'll ride it home for you,no matter the weather,I'll even pay for gas. No damage,no expense on tie downs, this will take all the guess work out of trailering. No extra insurance costs.......................................see the savings and way less time consuming too! There is something real ugly about a new bike on a trailer unless it's a (Harley) dog

51 inches clears the mirrors, if you remove the mirrors its about 46 inches, but you need room to get in and secure the bike, I wouldn't want to be crawling in a 4 foot tall trailer trying to tie her down.
But I agree with dog, better to ride

I have a prow point 12 foot long by 5 foot wide...68" high door 76" ceiling. I would not want any smaller for hauling this beauty..... Make sure you are in total control of everything going in and coming out....most bikes can be handled if you make a slight mistake ....this one can't....

HEY PJCRUISER, don't sweat it and worry too much how it will ride. My first Rune I drove 2200 miles to get, from California to Michigan. Loaded it in the back of my Ford F150 Super Crew put 3 straps on it and headed back to California, with tailgate down and 4" to spare (Rear wheel sitting on end of talgate). It never moved! Been hauling bikes for 30 years. Loading and strapping down a Rune was no different than loading and strapping down my old trail 90 when I was a kid. Did get alot of thumbs ups and looks with the Rune however!..........THUMPER
