no brainer for me. Windvest. do search on windvest and see all the posts, pics, etc. this topic has been 'hashed over' before....several times!

Windvest looks best. but provides a COMPROMISE of function/coverage from wind. other brands, TO ME AND MANY OTHERS, ruin lines of bike...though MAY provide more coverage.

of course the "purists" will tell you NO windshield on this bike  :?

Stewie...I thought you were one of us "purists" now youre caving to the masses...DONT DO IT!!!!
Thats the best part of riding, the wind at your face and the feel of freedom.

I have a quick release sport tech 16''. As far as I know I am the only one to have one. I am 5'11 and the wind hits me high on the forhead. With my full face shoei rf1000 it hits the vents perfectly. There are two mounts on the handle bars and it comes off by just pulling on it.

I think the is sporttechinc.com

They dont have an application for the rune. And my did require some minor massaging to make it work. I dont think I had and hour into the job.

Ive spent some time hashing over screens & in the end went for Windvest but got a special order 16x18" tall purely cause I dont want bugs in my hair or grit in my eyes. The standard 16x16 did not work for me I am 6.0 ft tall. That all said, I am now prepared to sell the Windvest as I am purchasing a Goldwing for long hauls and the Rune will be used for shorter rides. I prefer the look of the Rune naked in its purest form but for me Windvest is the least obtrusive screen out there. Cost $440 inc freight less than 1 month ago, make me a realistic offer!

I have the regular windvest, the taller one would have worked better for me. I'm 6'2" and the wind buffets my head, I can't seem to find a comforable height. I've moved up and down, back and forth but its not quite right for me. Its is I think the best looking on the Rune.

Hey Bents loosen up your bars and go for a wee parking lot ride and find that sweet spot-you'll find it. Then hop off and tighten er up. Also try raising the clamps a bit thus bringing up the shield a bit. Or tilt the whole shielf more forward to the front of the Rune. Good luck, hope one of these ideas help. dog

F6rider- here's the correct link (only one "t") http://www.sportechinc.com/
Do you have any pics of your set-up? If so, please post them

By the way, here's a link to the sportech video for their windshield. Unfortunately, no Rune. Also, the only thing I don't like about the sportech shield is the semi-rounded shape. From what I gather on their sizing chart, you have to get a pretty wide screen for more head protection.
F6rider, which size screen did you get?
