This past weekend, I rode with someone who had a blinker that I could hear so I suspect it was very loud to him. It was a manual device other than that, I don't know anything more about it. :?:

A VTX group member here in the Chicago area has a beeper/buzzer that can be installed inside the headlight bucket (or just about anywhere else) that has a pretty good piezo buzzer.
He's got a write-up for the VTX, and would be fairly simple to translate to the Rune.

Ok, got the blinker device from Glens VTX, took apart the headlamp bowl, called Glen 2 or 3 times (his instructions are VTX orientated) trying to make sense of the simple wiring diagram. Bottom line is: The Rune has two wires going to each front indicator one is a ground and the other is both the running light AND the blinker. On the VTX there are 3 wires so its possible to isolate the indicator. On the Rune it is not.
Unless any of you elecrical genius are out there with a solution my audible blinker is for sale to any VTX owner at $10.00 inc mail !!

The flasher is under the left injector cover (Honda calls this the front side cover). The Blue/Orange wire coming from the flasher drives the amber turn LED on the indicator box. If you connect the beeper from this wire to ground, the beeper should sound whenever the turn LED flashes.
The description on Glen's web site indicates that using the brakes silences the beeper. You'd have to tie into the front or rear brake wire for this to work. Can you post the wiring diagram that came with the device?
The easiest place to access turn-signal wires (without running lights) and brake-light wires is the connector on the left side of the rear fender. It would be a short shot to then mount the beeper next to the tool box under the seat.

Asacta is right! for take off the left side injector cover (3 allen bolts, the flasher is in the centre in a waterproof sleeve, ease it out locate the orange blue wire & connect EITHER of the blue cables that run from Glens blinker. Cut the other blue cable off, put the red cable to any earth & Voila a noisy indicator. I cable tied the blinker under the cover as my under seat tool box is already crammed full of wireless modulator for the led's I have previously fitted.
Finally, take it for a ride, indicator on....beep beep beep until you manually turn it off. $20.00 well spent after all.
how about yelling..........i am turning you stupid !@#$^&*+_) somebody..
sorry just in one of those moods today..........

and you can see the little blue wire going up inside, I connected the ground up front just under the grey connector... I know its a blurry picture but there it is
http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x235/Rune005/100_1423.jpg
and then just used a wire tie to secure the device... never mind the old fat guy whos reflection shows up in the valve cover, he's the Idiot.

The only other thing I did was the the audible think was just way two audible, so I took some electrical tape and taped over most of the speaker. So now it is a little quieter. When I first turned it on it sounded like a big truck backing up.

You need to get the turn annunciator from a Jag XKR: it sounds like a hammer hitting a hollow hardwood block.

I know that it is too late for you but the Kisan unit really works well!! It has emergency flashers on it and escort ability. It also comes with springs for the handlebar switch that makes the switch resettable without having to push the switch in to reset. Also there is a wire you can hook to your brake wire that makes the blinker suspend the canceling sequence so it doesn't go off at a stop sign, signal light etc..... Great product and great guys to deal with.

I have an automatic turn signal self-canceling device.
I automatically do it myself with a device conveniently located adjacent to the index finger of my left hand.
