Thought you may like to see the bike with the lettering and reflectors off. I was not sure how I would like it but wow, it really brings out the paint and the fenders.... very nice.... I was an advocate about leaving them on the bike and having it all "stock", but ill be the first to admit even the stewiemiester can learn a thing or two from the peeps here...

I heated it up pretty good with a hair dryer, then just kinda worked it off.... just dont get in a rush... and make sure you "lift" the reflector up evengly, that way you dont dig one side into the paint as your prying up the other side...

Mike
Take the hair dryer heat moderatly back and forth, then take some dental floss and and carefully floss between the paint and the item being removed.

Stewie...looks much better now. You need the chrome Caliper covers found on www.hondadirectline.com (http://www.hondadirectline.com) now.

Thanks for the tip Runeski and Stewie. I do not mind the reflectors so much, but the Honda name is already on my Rune in many other places. I think they went a little overboard with the logo.

etx...these subtle changes made a real difference in appearance.I think the following are a necessity:
De-badge/reflectors
Runeski side covers
Caliper covers
mirrors
Go for it ETX...Youll be happy when its done.

Madroober..thanks. I would like to see a pic of your seat. Did you see my valve covers debadged? I still dont know how to put my Avatar on here since the pic is too big. I know I can send it to someone on here that can post it...who does that? (maybe Lamonster).
Mad...we'll see you at the Rally with 4 other Runes from this area.

on the calipers, I am thinking about taking them to the president of the corvette club who has done probably a dozen or so brake calipers (front and back) on the corvettes, and get him to paint mine as well as my wifes on her Suzuki Sv650s (Blue).
All members needed to do is buy the paint and help a bit....he removes them, grinds them after soaking and getting the grease off, primers, paints, and installs...

I have two corbin seats one in snake skin and one all black I can send you pictures of both if you want.
I opened a picture gallery found on the top of the forum page and copy the address to the photos you upload there and want to post using the img button on the toolbar. (If that helps?)
Or I would be glad to size a picture for you and apply it so you can make an avatar with it if you wish too.
just send them to madroober@aol.com
I'm looking forward to the rally it will be a lot of fun!
I'm looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the sac. rune riders too!
Let me know if I can help with the pictures I will do what I can.
Again great shots of you and your rune I think you should be our poster child 8)

I've been avatarless for all this time...now I feel whole again....haha
Madroober,
where or how did you get the rune lettering on side covers ??????
i want ?????
thanks in advance....,,,,,
Nice little touches, they all look great. On my 'do list' also I'll be doing my calipers. Probably just leave them on the bike without disconnecting them and spray them, cover everything else. They are just so new,it'll be easy to do,no sand blasting needed. And a few other little do-dahs,almost completed. dog

I had them made out of a thin plate of stainless steel that was cut from a water jet.
They did require some polishing and the hard part was attaching them.
I ended up using windshield / mirror adhesive.
They are so finely cut that using double stick tape wasn't possible.
If I could figure out a practical and affordable way to make them I will if there is interest in them.
I like them over the Honda script as you know one of the most asked questions from people when they see a Rune is WOW what is it?

VERY NICE!! That is the only way to do it nice is to disassemble and paint. Very nice job and I bet it will hold up.
