Many of us know that if you park a Rune next to any other bike, the Rune will get all the attention.
Well, this bike will be sure to give us an "attention" challenge...

This bike is not the typical vapor-ware we all come across. It was unveiled last month at Daytona Bike week.
At $40k I'm sure we'll see one or two in our life times.... :D

gotta admit, it is cool, but not 40 grand cool.... the new victory cruiser is pretty cool too....

part of me likes it and other part doesnt. I think the front end is hidious but cool from the bars back. Straight forks would be cool with the front a little less busy.
I think i'll stick to my Rune....

Hgslayr says he's sticking to the Rune: With shorts on, you make it sound so much easier. FYI Tri-County rag mag (Road Wheeler) is featuring a Rune for the Month of May as Rider of the Month. The most Famous sought out color and it's mine. This Rag covers Indiana,Ohio and Kentucky. Free at the local bars and Motorcycle shops. The editor told me he had a glimpse of the bike way back when and tried describing this unit to the photo hogs and said now go find the bike (4 months later) and viola. Runes rule! :no1: To the new ride shown. dog

New Bike, I wonder what folks like us had said when they first caught glimpse's of the Rune. I only ever stumbled upon it at a MC shop. Or the Harley guys that have said you'll never catch me on a Honda. Well some of those Harley guys can still say that,If I'm on a Honda you'll never catch me.I'm betting we have a few who had these thoughts. dog

Looks like one of those toys that you bounce up and down on to propel the vehicle forward. I'm anxious to see the bags Corbin has for this. BigV

Where does the woman who says go and buy the new bike honey. Where the hell does she sit. Maybe Corbin can make a side car! And the bags can be added there! Another bar bike I guess. dog

I guess I'll be in the extreme minority, and tell you I kinda like it.

Now I wouldn't pay $40k for it, but probably some people feel that way about my Rune.

but I like it.

Am I banished?

Where are the turn signals?

Reading the specs: 1250cc engine with 120 hp. So why does the Rune have an 1835 and only 110hp?

Where did you get the 110 Hp from?

Ken got 94 hp on the dyno

I like it; providing it is functional-that being a good ride and can handle the corners. It looks rather long to me-hopefully one can maneuver around parking lots. I imagine people were somewhat taken back when the Rune first came out. I think they will sell some. There are lots of folks out there that have 40K to get something unique.

Wow. I thought I saw somewhere here, and maybe a few other places that it was 110 hp.

So, what's with a bigger engine and less horsepower? That doesn't seem to compute.

Falcon, the page loads for me in Firefox. Maybe try removing the index.html part and try again.

Giant, will it really cheese you off to know that the BMW K1200R has 163 HP? I agree there has to be more grunt in our power plants, but nobody has the data cable to talk to the damn thing yet to remap the fuel curves.

hgslayr

the turn sigs are the top lights above the 2 HIDS in front ....dont know about the rear. It reminds me of a 6 eyed Viper. If you go and down load their poster you can see the front piece above the bars looks cheap with no instruments or detailing under it....Its looks good from afar but I think the look will diminish unlike the Rune. I think its too far out of the box in design.

our cam specs.valve train timing and valve size, and compression ratio,a few other things, the ability to charge air into the air box and then the ability to meter more fuel produces hp..........if someone had the money, the electronics, and the parts and the how to.,,,,,,,,,this machine the RUNE could turn out the hp,,,,just don't sound right does it ?
for the rune to only have 94 hp............but a dyno can not reproduce the ram air effect that the clean air of the open road can,the rune has more like 96 to 98 hp.......in reality...
......the quad 4 engine made by gm,its a four cylinder 2400 cc
can produce 600 hp if hopped up....it has less to do with size of engine but more to do with the workings of the engine..........
by just opening the exhaust on the RUNE, that will produce more hp.
for example, those funky ugly pipes that rivco makes.......that dog loves so much......

I've always liked the center hub steering look and wild designs but this one looks very odd with the rider onboard. Makes it look like an old man out plowing fields on his tractor.
I still like this from Suzuki in the 80's

No. Not cheesed. My butt dyno tells me the bike has more than enough oomph. Tried the "blip the throttle" to go over a speed bump, practicing what we learned in class when going over road debris like a 2x4. Stood up up a skosh on the pegs...threw me back into the seat (Corbin rumble seat). Ouch.

I actually knew the guy who made and owned this:

http://dirtbike.off-road.com/dirtbike/data/articlestandard/dirtbike/232006/331931/4.jpg

I was working sound on an independent film, and he was the tutor for the kid actor.

He ended up running for San Diego Mayor when Hedgecock was getting the boot.

Imagine this bike with a V10 Viper motor ...all wheels turn side to side.
This tops the rune and Vrex together
