Windvest from www.motoleather.com?

I'm trying to find the best price on a Windvest and have a few questions that I haven't found answers to after searching the forums.
1) I don't see a clear 14"w x 16"h windvest offered on HondaDirect but Motoleather.com has one that fits the VTX. Question is, which VTX application fits the Rune, 1800 or 1300? I found in other threads that a "Q-105 kit for the VTX fits but motoleather doesn't use that kit number.

Using the pull-down menu, anyone know which VTX kit works?
2) Does their price ($251.00 for shield + $89.00 for mount) seem like a good buy?
Any suggestion on pricing/where to buy would be greatly appreciated :bow1:

When I brought my Windvest, they had a specific bracket for the RUNE
I haven't heard of anyone using the VTX brackets
I paid around $300 for mine in Daytona from a Vendor who was doing etchings on them.

The WindVest site lists two products for the Rune:

10-1434C Clear
10-1434CT Tint

Both are 16"x16" shields. I believe if you contact WindVest you can swap out the shield for a 16"x18".

Neither of the above part numbers are listed for the VTX.

I suppose I'm just going to have to take some time and make a few calls. I was hoping to get something ordered this weekend but no big deal.
If anyone else has info regarding shield height versus rider height and what they use that may help. I'm 5'7" so I don't think I need an 18" shield.. :?:
