    Default A great find!!!

On Saturday I was making the 200 mile ride to Little Sturges bike rally.
( Sturges Ky) On the way we had to stop at a Harley dealership due to a problem that one of our riders was having. We had to kill some time, while browsing through the store I happend upon this incredible magnetic tank bag that looked and fit great on the rune. It has great storage space for items such as ciggaretts, cell phone, glasses etc. check out the link below, A great find.

Any concerns about scratching the paint? I assume they are held on by magnets.....

I think this one would be better you can put your GPS or Map under the clear plastic

If you were worried about scrstching seems like you could put a thin piece of micro fiber cloth between the tank and the bag

The magnets will lift the metal flake in your paint and cause a bubble.

It flows back out over time, especially if parked in the sun.

I used a Joe Rocket magnetic bag on my VTX1800C for a while until I started to notice the bubbles. Got a set of saddle bags instead.

IMHO I would shy away form magnets. Some come without, have straps instead.

But you'll scuff your paint anyway, even with the soft pad. No way to keep anything from scuffing from the bouncing that occurs in normal riding.

    Opinions Vary.......
    All the best......

David. That is what I was thinking.

the only magnets I want on the rune are on the fuel line. I love the extra fuel mileage!

Thanks. I was laughing pretty hard when I typed it. And of course, I don't believe magnets attached to fuel lines give you better gas mileage, LOL.

Maybe the board has gotten a bit stiff over the past week or so. We just need to lighten up and make each other laugh. that is where my comment was comming from.

oh yea and hgslayr, i still have the color brown.
