I just received the info on two "Newbies"

Welcome and congrat's go out to JonSig and OliE

They are 05's, one was built 05/04 and the other 07/04.

One is Illusion Blue / RS / CHR the other Black Cherry / RS / CHR.

Both were purchased at East Coast Cycle Center and sent to Keflavik, Iceland.

I am going to edit the posted VIN List City / State report to include them.

Being another newbie - VTXOA and GL1800 boards for a while but the Rune is new to me by less than two weeks - help me understand "RS" and "CHR" . I'm guessing RS has to do with handle bar reach, and CHR is the chrome package?

Welcome and congrat's on your purchase.

Your are correct on the RS / CHR. The database the handlebar codes are FS - Forward Bars, RS - Rear Bars and the wheel codes are S47 - Spec 47 Gray , CHR - Chrome Wheels.

As far as I know all 05's are RS / CHR bikes with the same 3 colors as 04.

The 8th digit of the serial number breaks the bikes down into groups, and it looks like the 05's are using the same codes. For more info on the codes check out the VIN List Board - Model Code Breakdown
