Hey Rune riders I have had the idea of installing a tachometer and fabricating a support that would match the Runes stile and keep its hot rod look I love so much.
I bought a Barons tachometer and just finished a support that mounts to the side if the right riser buy two bolts I had to drill and tap holes for.
Next I'm having the support chromed and wiring the tachometer.
Not the best photos but I will try to get better ones when its done. :D

tach install

The most important question is does the tach work :?:
You did not give any info on what you hooked up your wires to. Other than that it's a nice set up. please keep us informed :tools1:

Hi Batman Barons says it will work and I'm looking into the wiring now.
If the signal from one of the coils doesn't work there is a device others have used to get the proper signal from a plug wire.
I will keep you posted I'm off to the chrome shop now. :D

I got the bracket I made chromed and installed my tachometer on the Rune and I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
I looked into the wiring and found what others have posted I will need to get the signal modulator from Dakota digital to get a tach signal from the Ignition Pulse Generator before it will work.
Pictures attached.
