Dont you mean Tacchinos instead of Turkeys?
One time, in 1996 I made a complete Thanksgiving dinner for a family that owned a hotel in Caltagirone Sicily where I was staying for 2 months. We had a blast. The turkey weighed 37 pounds.

hi Ken, yes italian name is tacchino. but not too much used on our tables.

the best you may get in winter time is a goose (oca) cooked with vegetables and sausages. goose may be very big. slurp

hey Ken, how could you remain in Usa after tasting italian food??? when you are back from irak have a stop here.
