I recently purchased through Honda Direct the replacement covers for the hydraulic reservoirs. (I don't like all the printing on the factory covers.)

When I change the covers do I need to be concerned with introducing air into the system? Or can I just R&R?

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

put the bike in vertical position in order to have the covers orizontal.
you will avoid leakage of oil remouving the covers.

anyway put a cloth under to preserve the paint from possible brake oil contact as this oil is paint corrosive.
under the covers you find a black rubber cap, do not remouve it, replace the covers with the new one.

have a look of the manual.

ciao

No air will enter the brake and or clutch system ........ Make sure you get the gasket in the right place under the covers before tightening ........ As already mentioned ......... Get some old towels or big rags and cover the whole tank ...... You do not want to get one drop on any painted S U R F A C E , chrome surfaces will be ok if wiped pretty quick .......
