This is a quick summary of my trip to the Hoot and beyond. I started on June 18th and I got home Monday Night July 12th after 25 days on the motorcycle going across country. It was a good experience and I enjoyed the time seeing America. I had the opportunity to meet some of you on my travels and appreciate being able to hang out.

I drove through the following states:

CA
AZ
TX
OK
AK
MS
TN
KN
NC
VA
DC (not a State but a Destination)
ML
DE
NJ
NY
CT
RI
MA
ME
NH
VT
PE
OH
IN
MI
IL
WI
MN
SD
WY
MO
ID
NV

I covered more that 8,500 miles and got to see and meet a lot of nice people. I even drove in NYC and found it to be very intense but I got to see what I wanted to see. Me and my buddy (the next day) where in NYC and got chosen to appear on Dave Letterman's top 10 things every tourist to NYC needs to know; my line was "Remember these important words""I didn't see nuttin"

What I loved about the trip was seeing so many different places (Yellowstone was my favorite place) and meeting so many nice people.

What I hated are the toll roads in the east, they are a pain in the ass to get through and cost me $100.00.

Once I get through the 500+ pictures I took and can get them into an Ofoto album I'll post a link.

Lov,
Wow, nice ride. What bike did you take?

VTX

REDVALK is correct, I took the VTX 1800 Retro, its set up for long distance rides. I would have liked to take the Rune but I know its not set up for the kind of mileage I was putting on every day. I know someone did an Iron Butt on a Rune and I'm impressed, but I really do love my V-Twin 1800 too.

But he WAS in N.J. (part of the toll thing,) if he had given me a call he/they could have crashed er, ah, I mean stayed at my place ( I'm 1.2 hrs from N.Y.C) for a couple of days. Yeah ,I figured he took his X. Nice trip though!!

Sorry I didn't call

Rich, I know you live in NJ but my plan was to meet up with a buddy in Greenwich CT just for dinner. He convinced me to stay at his place, only 32 miles from NYC and go into town on the train which we did. That's when we got asked to audition for the Letterman Late Show. I would have loved to meet up with you but the schedule, as it was, didn't allow for that diversion.
Steven,
 I know how tight your schedule must have been. Glad you had a safe trip. Welcome back :!:

Steven,

Glad to see you made it home ..... now if we could only get a few thousand more Westerner's to leave a little money around here maybe "they" would lower my taxes .....
