Hey there fellow Rune Riders! Just got back from Myrtle Beach Bike week. Went the first weekend and saw only 1 other Black Rune. My personal experience with the way the event was set up was fantastic! It was a great place and I will make it a regular event to attend. Great food, lot's of things to see and the rides outside Myrtle were nice. Only had one problem on my last day there...my transmission started to slip. Called my local dealer in St.Petersburg, Florida, and they set up an appointment for me to bring it in as soon as I got back. They were there waiting for me...and even involved Honda from the get-go. With a little over 8,600 miles on the Rune, it was the first report of transmission problems for the Rune. Ater dissassembling the bike it was found that a seal failed from the clutch to transmission, and allowing the plates to fail once the pressure dropped. Needless to say I'll be picking the bike up tomorrow, Saturday, and can't wait. I knew I bought the right bike when I bought the Rune...I'm impressed with the way Barney's (local dealer - I didn't even buy the bike there) and Honda handled this. Go Rune Riders...we really have the premiere bike in the world!

Myrtle Beach Week

Just got back and saw only one other Rune, and could not turn around fast enough to catch up. Nothing like cruising down the strip and having other high priced bikers pullup and state that, "that is one bad a$$ bike"!! Lots of stares and pictures..great shows and tried to see HAl while I was there but he took the day off. :( Bought the new patches for my vest. Had a wonderful time..plan to go back in the fall, hope more of you will come down there also, in Oct..Dave
