I recently bought a Rune. Ridden it half a dozen times. The most recent ride was Sunday. It was the longest ride I've taken, about 50 miles or so. After about 40 miles I noticed the red light in the display area. Pulled over and turned off the engine. Checked oil and it was OK. After she cooled down a bit, I started her. The red light was off, so I rode some more, but it came on again after 5 more miles. Same thing. After she cooled down a bit she started and the red light was out, and she seemed to run just fine. This happened one more time before I got home. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what was the problem?

"With the limited information provided, and going on it was a recent purchase.
Check the wire going to the oil pressure switch, being it's just above the oil filter
maybe prior to bike being sold it was serviced and the oil pressure switch
wire was knocked loose a bit somehow. Picture below of one, wire held in place by a screw
and oil pressure switch has a cover over it. Or the wire has a small break.
If it's not that simple, I would replace the oil pressure switch it's self, roughly a $40.00 part,
before moving on to other items it could be. S/M provides pictures of the oil pressure switch
and its location."

This is very rare, it happened with the recent purchases. You must check all the the wirings specially which goes to the oil pressure
