Hi folks,
I am a newbie here so be kind. I am interested in a Rune. Ny neighbor has one and I took it for a run. It runs great but the looks just blow me away.
Can anyone comment on why the big $$ increase from '04 to '05.
Did they make some drastic changes other than weight?
I did a search but didnt find a whole lot.
Thanks in advance for your 2 cents.

All the way from Florida. Could you hear me smacking myself in the forehead? I knew that but it didnt click.
It seems that there are some deals to be had on the '04s.
My nieghbor loves his. I dont know, I saw him pushing it up the street last week. (No easy feat) I dont know what the problem was. Maybe I could get a good deal on his!!
Thanks, Love the forum

Chek6,
Please find out why he was pushing his Rune.
We all need to know if any new problems pop up.
Thanks

I will fill you in after I talk with him. We have some beautiful Harleys here in the hood but they drool over the Rune.

Runeski,
I am waiting for my local dealer to check prices etc. I Have found '05s for just over $24k and very low mileage (less than 200) '04s for about $18k.
Does that seem pretty accurate? I guess sometimes it is a right place at the right time thing. I think they are out there. Pricing might even depend on what Honda decides to do in '06. I know the "T2" concept machine was always my favorite. I have lurked enough to know that you seem pretty happy with yours?? I have always loved aircraft and motorcycles. This is the most radical "Factory built" bike I have ever seen. It truly is a work of art. All that with Honda reliability. How can you beat that?
Any advice?
Thanks

Not too bad. I paid $26.499 ( chrome wheels ,pull back bars ) before the bikes were out ,like most of us did. Sight unseen except for on the computer and at some shows where they showed the concepts.
Jump on it ,and enjoy :!:

Check with your dealer on getting a 2004. I just bought one today...new out of the crate. Until about a week ago dealers could see 2004 inventories available in the warehouses across the country. Now they're listed as SR - Special Request. If you want a new one, tell your dealer what you want, and they can contact their Honda rep to see if there's any left. Good luck! I love mine...I had planned to keep the miles down on it. Now that I have it, that may be difficult! 8)
