I just recently purchased the infamous "Turd" Rune from that guy in Salt Lake City and drove it 1200 miles in the first week! The bike drives like a dream and I am a very pleased Runer. :p
I read almost every comment that you guys have mentioned over the last two months and was able to make a very informed decision on buying my bike. I own two other Honda motorcycles and this one is another quality machine. I just wanted to say hello to everyone and let them know that bike #190 is now in the Seattle area under extremely caring ownership.
I look forward to being a part time forum user and maybe riding with another Rune in my area. :?:
You guys offer great tips, ideas and fantastic custom extras for the Rune. I 've already got a few on order. I look forward to chat with you guys soon. 8)

Congrats and Welcome!
I bet you well love your Rune and I'm glad to here it has a good home :D
I'm in Redding Ca. If you ever find your self down this way let me know.
I have yet to see another Rune and also would enjoy meeting other people with a Rune.

Congratulations! You should paint "turd" somewhere on the bike on an unseen area. Like uder the seat or something to remind you what the guy gave up!

It looks like Runes are going to be invading Seattle. I am moving there in about three weeks! Maybe we can hook and you can show me where to ride up there. Whereabouts are you? I'll be living in Issaquah.
DiverDave: congratulations from South Carolina! Interesting thought, to name my bike. I took my 2 daughters out for dinner and Spiderman2 last night. They both asked what I had named my black rune #180. It is a given that you should name yours t... since all the guys will recognize it!

The longest trip I have taken so far is 8 hours with stops for gas. I love my Rune. Ken (9,300 miles & hummin')

Diver Dave,

Welcome to the world of Rune Riding .... it is great to see the bike go to a good home .... some people bought a Rune for the wrong reasons ... how anyone could ride one and be glad to own it is a mystery to me ...

#190 was not on the VIN List so I added it to the list .... if you want to send / post more info I'll update the list. Check out the VIN List Section / Newbies / Updates to see what I keep track of.

DD / VS ,

In your posts you talked about the Seattle area .... I have been talking to a company located there about a trailer / trailer hitch for the Rune and he will build the hitch if he can get a bike over to his shop for fit up .... could either do this .... the trailer is a "Peak" style and would look great behind a Rune.

The company is Dauntless Motors , 253/638-1793 , ask for Jay

Time for the paint shop

Welcome Driver Dave:

I’m pleased the “Turd” finely has a happy home.

I checked your photo gallery and was disappointed you didn’t have a photo with the previsions owners custom paint job. That eBay ad was a rollicking good time. We haven’t had as much controversy since DocHolliday told us all where to go and what handbag to use!

Does anyone remember the Doc?

Welcome to the fold, you made a good move !!

Japanese Rice Turd bike

Hey, I was there that day in SLC for the MDA Ride. I took a few pictures of that bike. I've attached a couple for your viewing pleasure. Dont know who owned that bike, but I love my Runes.

Anybody else know the story on this bike.

Were you the guy who got out of the yellow rental/moving truck and walked around with a camera phone taking several pictures in an office park complex of my blue rune? Cause if you did we were watching you from inside :)

No that wasn't me.

I saw your Rune in SLC when it was there for the MDA ride. I took pictures of it then.
Kewl, congrats on the bike. I know you got a killer deal since I got an email after asking some questions on it (the previous time he had it listed) and it was offered delivered for 21,500. He sure had a elevated heart rate over that bike. Im sure youll have tens of thousands of care free miles ahead of you.

The rest of the story

So, Diver Dave, I missed out on the whole story. What happened and how did you come by your ride turd? Would you please tell me from the beginning?

Thanks,

Danno
Diver Dave, Welcome from the other Seattle Rune Rider. I sent you an email for info on how to hook up... Cyclops

Thanks Cyclops; I wrote you back. Have a safe but killer ride this up coming week. I've done a few this year and they never get tiring.
