It's good to be back, though not really for about another week. I read a bit on here about 10 years ago. I had a 2004 Rune (EB) from 2007-2020 (only owner), a gift from my wife after a 15-month Iraq deployment (Army, now retired). Here in Fort Worth, TX now, and in May 2020, a wandering driver turned left from the right lane of traffic, cutting me off with nowhere to go - I knew it would be totaled by insurance as soon as I rolled and got up off the ground. Been on a Triumph Rocket III Roadster 2020-2023. Fun ride, but I've really missed the Rune, but the price generally is going up on them (no surprise). Last week, a Vietnam vet who doesn't really need the money posted his 2004 (DB) up for $15,000, so I went to look at it, we hit it off as Army brothers, and I'm just waiting on my cashier's check from the bank to go pick it up. Wife will only let me have 1 bike at a time, and I'd already told her I was looking at selling the Rocket. The current owner had extra chrome put on, including a beautiful chrome job on the wheels, effectively turning this DB into an EB. Will take my time making my own tweaks to it. For now, just going to enjoy being back on the smoothest ride on 2 wheels that I've ever experienced.

I was hoping to link up with you, Ollie. We've never met, of course. Thank you for all that you've contributed, and for your service. I started out as an Infantry officer in the Army back in the mid-90s, 7 years on the line before God used escalation of force procedures on me to call me to ministry, so I left active duty to go to seminary, returning as a chaplain for 13.5 years, retiring in October 2019. My wife bought me a Rune in 2007, brand new out of warehouse in Iowa, as a welcome home from 15 months in Iraq. Candy black cherry, it moved with us from Fort Lewis to Fort Jackson to Alaska to Washington D.C. to Fort Leonard Wood to West Point and back to Alaska, before moving to Texas to retire. In 2020, I was cut off by a wandering driver in traffic, and it was totaled. I've been on a Triumph Rocket III Roadster for the last 3 years. Last week, as I was getting the itch to return to a Rune, but not really able to afford those for sale online, a guy 15-20 minutes from me posted his for $15,000, so I went over to take a look, called my bank, and am just waiting for the cashier's check to get here to go get the bike. He's a Vietnam vet, and I'm Iraq (2006-2007) and Afghanistan (2002-2003, 2011-2012, and 2017-2018) vet. He took it off the market on our verbal commitment. I'm selling the Rocket, as the wife really only will tolerate 1 bike in the house at a time. I told her I was looking at selling the Rocket, but haven't told her about the Rune yet. She's up in MN with our daughter and 2.3 grandkids. Thanks for reading this far, and thank you again for what you've done for our country (my buddies still in uniform tell me consistently how much it's all changed in just the last 3-4 years), and what you've done for the Rune community. I do hope there's something great in 2024; I'd actually like to come participate. God bless you, brother. v/r, Ken

Great Rune @Patr_Rider !! I too have been looking to get a Rune. Any leads?
Hello, Suresh. The one I'm buying is local, and popped up on FB. Here are some other leads that I've found.

On eBay - 2004 honda valkyrie rune nrx1800 motorcycle | eBay.

On FB - 登录 Facebook (I almost went for this, but it's $13,000 more than the one I'm buying, and I can put all the touring items on it for far less than $13,000).

On Cycletrader - https://www.cycletrader.com/2004-20...X|764978249,VALKYRIE|764981531&year=2004:2005.

On Autotrader - https://motorcycles.autotrader.com/motorcycles-for-sale/honda-valkyrie_rune-for-sale (almost all overlap with cycle trader).
