Rivco hub & spinner - count to purchase (need 25-30)

A few people on this board were inquiring about spinners, I talked to Rivco today and they said they would do a special production run if we could put together a pre paid order of at least 50 of the same hub & spinner. I would definately be intrested, do we have enough intrest from other board members, we could coordinate together and then with rivco so we could each order directly with them.

ADMIN NOTE: I have copied this thread, removed some of the trivial posts...and stickied it in this forum temporarily. ONLY POST to this thread....IF....you want to be added to the list of possible buyers for a spinner/knockoff....and TAKE THE POLL ABOVE too.

maybe.....maybe.....if one of you contact RIVCO....and ask them if you got enough interest (like 25 orders)....maybe....just maybe, they would offer to do ANOTHER run...like they did 2 years ago? Maybe............hey, never hurts to ask! And of course, once you ask...and they "set a number"....then you have to get folks to sign up to ordering and get that number. And then....of course, you have to get them to put their money where their mouth is when the time comes. We just did that with the shirt orders I did recently....needed 24 or more to get the vendor to "bring back" the old design from 10 years ago. We got 40 orders is what I'm told....so now, it's becoming reality! (in fact, they should ship any day now!).

So again, suggest someone interested contact RIVCO and ask. All they can do is say yes or no! :yes:

to count with a poll the runers who like to get a spinner and hub. Like the old one.. and so it gets more
"power" to Rivco to overthink a remake of those products. Hey, we have the power
of 1500 Runers.. surely out there more than forty who like to get such parts.
Please ! One email to rivco.. is less.. a mail to rivo with dozends of signs or so is more !

well that idea on the surface sounds good, I really think you should call/email them FIRST....and ask RIVCO if they'll even consider making another run. If they say they won't do it, there's not much point in starting another list/poll. If they say they MAY do it....depending on numbers, THEN YES....THEN i'd start another poll with a fresh count on a new thread.

You really (somebody) needs to contact RIVCO FIRST....and ask the question. That's the first step. see if they would even consider doing it. IF so, see how many they feel they need to make it happen. THEN....take a poll and see if the numbers are there.

I'm gonna' say this again (but with more clarity this time:22yikes: )....someone....needs to:

1. Contact RIVCO. Ask them is it possible to do a second run? IF NOT, might as well "stop dreamin' about it"

2. BUT IF THEY SAY THEY MIGHT/WOULD....if they had "XX" folks signed up to buy em'....then....someone (I keep saying someone, cause it's NOT GOING TO BE ME :twisted: ....but rather someone who has an interest in getting one...I already have one...eh...make that two and need no more!)....start a NEW THREAD....with a POLL....like we did last time...

3...and then THAT ...is where the "holdas" and "Moniques" of the world should post "i'd take one".....and of course, ALSO VOTE IN THE POLL in that thread

Posting things here ....like I'd take one.....really does pretty much no good. It takes someone calling....seeing if they'll do it, and then IF they will...start a thread...and POST THERE and TAKE THE POLL. If ya' get the numbers, like last time....then BINGO....you have a window of opportunity (and you know what I keep saying over and over and over....about windows of opportunity in THIS RUNE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!)....to get one....if you act timely. Posting about taking one on THIS thread, really just wastes time and may even just cause more confusion (as in when/if a thread is started to actually try and see if there is interest in getting a run done, some who posted on THIS thread may THINK....they've already posted that they wanted one and could be added to the count....but in fact, if they don't post that SAME INFO AGAIN...on the new thread, they are NOT part of that critical count!).

and that...............is how this "drill" works. So one of you "take charge"....and make that call to RIVCO. find out if it can/should even be pursued. Either way, report back here. NO GO? Post so, and we know the dream is just that...a dream...but not reality. GO WITH A CERTAIN NUMBER? Start marketing and get that number with a new thread!

Sorry, but I just hate seeing folks "spinning their wheels"....and I see that "pattern" a lot on the board

to add to Tim's suggestions . . . when you see a mod you MIGHT want . . . grab it . . . they don't last long . . . and some NEVER come back . . .

Those of us who have been on this board for many years have seen several great items come and quickly go away!! It took years for another member to make the little tank badges, seemed easy but the first run by Danny were far better!! And the nut and bolt caps from ShopDog and son, I almost waited to long, but made the call direct and they still had A set on the shelf.

This is a tough spot for our new members! As they don't get to see all the trick items until they meet up with a old timer, or takes close attention at the Rallies.

I make a habit of checking every bike at the Rallies to see what is new and interesting . . I got my road peg mount design from a EBay listing!! The sellers buddy made a custom 1 off set . . now there are 2 custom sets, just a little different but with the same concept . . . . but I'm lucky . . . . I can make my own stuff, but it cost money for even small numbers like the peg brackets I recently produced . . hopefully I'll get the last few of the 12 I made sold, and show a little profit for my troubles . . . but then I didn't make them to get rich, but to help out my Rune family!

So remember . . . next time you see somethin trick . . .pull the trigger!!!

Isn't that the truth, you should see the prices I'm getting to make the Bolt and Nut Caps again.:money1::money1::money1: I'm waiting on a guy in Cali to finish setting up shop and see what he'll cost.

Classic window of opportunity.....

Sadly....many who have posted they would like one of these.... won't check the board in time to see this. It's just so easy to keep track of threads you have posted to....via email notices from the board. Email comes in (on my smartphone).... glance at the text of the post (in the email)....if it is something of importance, go sign on to the board and post a TIMELY post.

It's just that simple to stay current,......and cash in on these windows of opportunity!

you need to have 20 that are willing to buy it. What they are probably talking about.....is a deal similar to the shirt deal I just worked out. You get 20 people to CONTACT RIVCO...and pay for a spinner...and WHEN/IF....repeating....WHEN......IF they get the 20 to pay for them, THEN AND ONLY THEN....they make em'. So you no doubt need to get 20 people TO ACTUALLY CONTACT RIVCO. it's been our experience here on the board, you may get "5.2 Giga billion" people (sarcasm ....ehhhh.....intended :duck: :shock: )....to say on here they will buy a thousand of em'.....but when it comes time to ACTUALLY GET THE 20 or however many....to put their money where their mouth is....as they say, well...often.....that's the crux of the matter/problem!

I'd say have 20 people contact RIVCO. you could take a poll here....but that really means little (judging by the past)....and just prolongs this whole process. Better to get 20 folks RIGHT NOW....up front....to each one personally contact RIVCO and "pony up".

How much would be the projected cost (each) of this new run by Rivco. Also, could this new run be modded to actually spin by installing a bearing in the center as others have done in the past? I might be interested this go-round, if it could be converted into a real spinner.

Without getting too picky here, real spinners don't spin and fake spinners do. Go figure. The Rune spinner is a fake spinner that doesn't spin, so I guess the rule can be broken.

Yes, you are right. Many people have such behavior.. but im in hope for a possibility to encourage
20 people to directly contact RIVCO and do nails with heads.

Sounds very good, please create a poll ! I think it is the best, when the "voters" have also to write
to the thread "Have had contacted RIVCO and submitted my wish for a spinner and be willed to do a
pre sale"

My request to Rivco goes for a knock-off spinner.. i didnt ask for a batman. But if we are enough
people we have a chance now - for both !?.
And sorry, I HAVE CONTACTED RIVCO.. to make it possible - a beginning of a small chance for a remake.
