Eye of the beholder
I’ve not read the article, but if their only criticisms relate to the harsh ride and purchase price, then so what? Apparently the magazine said it “looks good,” according to Adrian.
We all know the Rune rides tight and what they cost. We also know that “looks good” is a grossly misstated understatement. I would venture to say the primary reason we own a Rune is because of the way it looks.
The V-Rod “looks good” but parked next to a Rune it pales. One gets the impression you could pick the V-Rod up, put it under your arm and walk off. The Rune looks like a massive work of art.
The article author’s opinion of the selected motorcycles is probably well received by most readers having a vested interest. There are a lot more owners of Vulcans, V-Rods, RocketIIIs, and the V-Max than there are of the Rune; and that is another reason we own one.
