Hi Everyone,

I have spent a few days looking around the internet for details about the Honda Rune, and I know I have found the right place. :D

I am a disabled Biker and a wheelchair user and I live in Inverness Scotland. I had a motorbike accident in 2001 "A car pulled out in front of me at a junction" which has left me paralysed form the chest down.

Ever since the accident I have stayed away from bikes, but two months ago two of my brothers came over from Ireland with their Honda CB 1300.

The smell of the bikes and the leather just made me want to get back on the road again, so when they left I went on-line and found a Trike builder in Cardiff Wales, and guess what bike they have just converted ? A Honda Rune

I have been down to Cardiff and had a look at the Rune. It was love at first sight ! My Rune is in the UK now and I will be taking delivery some time in October, just in time for the Scottish winter :(

If you want to have a look at a Rune Trike go to http://www.trikeshop.co.uk

Welcome to RuneRiders.

Obviously a little misfortune has not dampened your spirits.

We all know about that converted Rune you are about to call your own, we have watched its development. That is one nice looking machine. Internationally there are Runes all over the world. You are joining an ever-growing European list of Rune owners, but you’re the first Scotsmen, and I’m the first to welcome you.

Hi Paul, I actually live in Cardiff and I helped the Trikeshop find that Rune for their project.
There are two rival trike-builders in Cardiff the second company - Trikedesigns - is also building a Rune trike at the moment ( for a friend of mine ). The two companies were run by the same people untill they split up due to internal differences. Both companies are definately worth considering if you're in the market for a Rune trike though. They're probably two of the best known trike builders in the UK and they keep trying to best each other. A little competition's always good for the buyer.
Good luck in your search.

:) Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcome. Great to see the pictures of your bikes on this site. Runerod you did a fantastic job in finding the Rune. I had heard of the other Trike builders but never got a chance to have a look at the site.

My Rune is at Hydan's place now ready to be started on. I run an Internet Radio station and plan to put together a programme about disabled Bikers and Trikes in the UK. I will get in touch with Trikedesigns when the time comes.

Thanks once again to you all for the welcome :D See you on the other boards.

Paul - In the picture, what's the chrome piece that appears to be sticking up behind the seat. I can't tell if it's something on the fender, or a piece that's sticking up from the other side of the bike.

Hi RMR,

The chrome piece you see on the back fender is a Knuckleduster Grabrail, it is just one of the mods on the Trike
