RuneMan, you should get an email that you have a private message, if that's not happening you might want to check your profile and make sure that the Notify Me of Private Message is checked YES. In lieu of that next to your profile button at the top of the page is a second icon that tells you if you have any private messages; just click on that to take you to your in box.
