Yellow Rune(s) have been talked about before.

If a Rune starts out as one color and is repainted by whoever and has miles put on it. They're all
just used repainted Runes (IMO).

Most be a number of fakes out there (I doubt those that own them think they're fake), I know of three yellow Runes not counting the Gold Disney one."

I know that the Rune on the side of the tank is Not from the CBC. They are grey as shown in photo. For the rear HONDA is the raised Chromed emblem.
Any yellow painted ones out there are not Honda one-off's but, what someone did on there own. I know of a totally chromed one that was in Germany and that was sharp.
The Disney one is "Disneyland" with documentation and the other one is at Honda Japan, mine painted, "yes" on CBC (made a great base primer) at the R&D Honda Torrance, Ca as stated in the document by Honda, by Ray Blank.

It's no different like Ford had a one-off paint Mustang that was sold and driven with lots of miles (over 78,000) and yet 10-15 years ago it sold for over $100,000. Hey who know in 20 years, what any of them will go for, but time will tell.

I enjoy it just the same.

"MARK (side of fuel tank) from a DCCB, three different MARKs below.
They used a rear fender emblem from the 05 and not the label/sticker that the 04 came with?"

I'd have mine repainted yellow right now if I had a guaranteed buyer at $225,000.00. And, I'd throw in a set of SS side covers made to cover the area around the key switch & opposing side covering the oil dipstick. Ok, not really, but I'd definitely be in it with Shala's IB, but it has the 1 7/8" exhaust hole mod that would be dealt with at the buyer's end, if they so choose - she don't ride hers as much as she used to, and could be talked into a new GW to replace it.

there seems to be a lot of that going around now days....especially around my household. Not as young as I once was ya' know...........think there's a Toby Keith song that speaks to that..................

The bright sunny color really does pop against all the beautiful Chromery (yes thats a word lol)(I think) I'd love to see some other colors like Tor-Red MOPAR or Plum Crazy / In Viiolet purple but it would have to be something horrific to cause a Rune's paint finish to be that bad it needed full repaint

Maybe if the tin parts could be acquired for a reasonable price you could justify a full extra set of custom painted parts

I better focus on getting my first Rune before I go off half cocked lol
